In the graph below, you can see the evolution of the number of orders per month in The Netherlands. There is a clear cohesion between the restrictions because of COVID-19 and the number of deliveries. The more restrictions there were in place, the higher the number of deliveries. Especially since August, home delivery took off.
Most popular delivery company is Thuisbezorgd.nl, followed at a distance by UberEats and Deliveroo. But our data and figures show that UberEats in particular has been growing strongly recently. The orders are most often made at Thuisbezorgd.nl, followed at a distance by UberEats and Deliveroo. Over the last three months, Thuisbezorgd.nl has a share of over 50%. This means a growht of 21% compared to the average over the last ten months. UberEats is catching up with 72% growth, where Deliveroo is in between both players with 47%.
